He [John the Marshal] m. Joan, daughter of Adam de Port, Lord of Basing, by his 1st wife, Mabel de Orval. He dsp. in Mar 1194, and was buried at Bradenstoke. His wife survived him and m. 2ndly, Richard de Rivers; she was living in 1204, but dead in 1213. [Complete Peerage X:Appendix G:96-97]
