Richard II "The Good" Duke of was born about 0959 in Rouen, Seine-Inferieure, Normandy, France.  Richard II "The Good" Duke of's father was Richard I "The Fearless" Duke of Normandy and his mother was Gunnora (Gundra) de Crepon.  His paternal grandparents were William I "Longsword" Duke of Normandy and Sprota de Senlis St. Lis; his maternal grandparents were Herbastus Forester of Arque and Gunnhild Olafsdottir. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Robert Archbishop of, Geoffrey (Godfrey) d', Mauger Count de, Beatrice de and Emma of.  He was the oldest of the six children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Godfrey FitzRichard Count of, William Hieme Count d', Muriella de, Hawise of and Pappia of.  He died on August 28th, 1026 in Fecamp, Seine-Inferieure, France.
