Alice de was born about 1176 in Montmorency, Val d'Oise, France.  Alice de's father was Bouchard V de Montmorency and her mother was Laurette de Hainault.  Her paternal grandparents were Mathieu (Matthew) I de Montmorency and Alice of England; her maternal grandparents were Baudouin IV "Le Batisseur" Count of Hainault and Alix de Namur.  She was an only child.  She died in Haute-Bruyere near Montfort-l'Amaury Castle, Ile-de-France, France.

‌Alice de and Simon IV de were married in a religious ceremony in 1190.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Amaury VII de, Simon V de and Guiburge de.
