Robert de was born about 1235 in Castle Rising, Norfolk, England. Robert de's father was Roger de Mohaut and his mother was Cicely d' Aubigny. His paternal grandfather was Eustace de Mohaut , Baron of Hawarden; his maternal grandparents were William d' Aubigny , 3rd Earl of Arundel and Mabel of Chester. He had a brother named John de. He was the older of the two children. He died before September 16th, 1275 in Mold Castle, Holywell, Flintshire, England.General Notes
