Henry I the Child von Hesse was born on June 24th, 1244. Henry I the Child von Hesse's father was Henri de Brabant II Duc de Brabant and his mother was Marie Hohenstaufen of Swabia. His paternal grandparents were Henri I Duc de Brabant and Ida (Maud) d' Alsace Cts de Boulogne; his maternal grandparents were Philip II Hohenstaufen of Holy Roman Emp and Irini Maria Angelina of Byzantium. He had a brother and two sisters, named Henri de Brabant III, Elizabeth and Matilda. He died at the age of 64 on December 21st, 1308.General Notes
