Her paternal grandparents were Gerard De Furnival Lord Hallamshire and Maud FitzJohn; her maternal grandparents were Peter Lord Montford of Beaudefort and Maud De La Warr. She had a brother named William De Furnival IV Baron. She was the younger of the two children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named William Montacute III Baron, Alice and Elizabeth.-
