Ermentrude De was born about 0968 in Verdun, Meuse, France.  Ermentrude De's father was Marquis Antwerp Godfrey De Godfrey Count D' Marquis Antwerp/Verdun and her mother was Matilda Billung Of Saxony (Princess). She had four brothers and three sisters, named Hermann Count Of, Gottfried I Duke, Gozelo (Gonzelon) I De, Frederick De, Adelaide De, Regilla De and Gerberge De.  She was the youngest of the eight children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Arnulph (Arnold), II, Jean Of Tonnbridge De and Bertha.  She died after 1010.
