Eldgyth Queen of was born in 1024.  Eldgyth Queen of's father was Aelfgar Earl of Mercia and her mother was Aelfgifu Princess of England.  Her paternal grandparents were Leofric III Earl of Mercia and Lady Godiva Godgifu; her maternal grandparents were Aethelred II King of England and Aelfgifu of Northumbria. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William Malet Baron Of Curry, Edwin Earl of East, Morcar Earl of, Eadwine of, Agatha of and Lucy of.  She was the oldest of the seven children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Waltheof II Earl of and Ealdgyth of.  She died at the age of 104 in 1128.
