Lothair I Holy Roman was born in 0795 in Altdord, Bavaria.  Lothair I Holy Roman's father was Louis I "The Pious" Holy Roman Emperor and his mother was Ermengarde de Hesbaye.  His paternal grandparents were Charlemagne I Holy Roman Emperor  EXT and Hildegard of Swabia; his maternal grandfather was Ingerman I Count of Hesbaye. He had a brother and a sister, named Louis II "The German" King of East and Rotrude (Hildegarde) Princess of.  He was the oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Charles II "The Bald" Holy Roman, Gisele of and Alpaide Princess of.  He died at the age of 60 on September 29th, 0855 in Abbey of Pruem, Rheinland, Prussia.  He was buried in St Sauveur.
