Rohese le was born in 1190 in Burton-on-the-Wolds, Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. Rohese le's father was Thomas le Despenser , of Arnesby & Burton and her mother was Rohese. Her paternal grandparents were Thurston le Despenser and Lucia. She had two brothers and a sister, named Hugh le, Geoffrey le and Muriel le. She was the oldest of the four children.
