Agnes de was born about 1213 in Calne, Wiltshire, England. Agnes de's father was William II de Cantelou , of Calne, Sir and her mother was Milicent de Gournay. Her paternal grandparents were William I de Cantelou and Macelin Braci; her maternal grandparents were Hugh VI Seigneur de Gournay and Juliana de Dammartin. She had two brothers and a sister, named William III de, Nicholas de and Juliane de. She was the oldest of the four children. She died after 1279.General Notes

He [Robert de St. John] is said to have married Agnes, daughter of William DE CAUNTELO. He appears to have died between 11 March 1266/7 and the 25th of that month.
