Agnes de was born about 1218 in Calne, Wiltshire, England.  Agnes de's father was William II de Cantelou , of Calne, Sir and her mother was Milicent de Gournay.  Her paternal grandparents were William I de Cantelou , of Aston Cantlow and Macelin Braci; her maternal grandparents were Hugh VI Seigneur de Gournay and Juliane de Dammartin. She had two brothers and a sister, named William III de, Nicholas de and Juliane de.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died after 1279.

Agnes de's second family with Robert de St. John , Lord of Basing, Sir

‌Agnes de and Robert de were married in a religious ceremony in 1st husband.  They had two sons named William and John de.
