Eleanore was born about 1297 in Berkeley Castle, Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England.  Eleanore's father was Maurice II "Magnanimous" 2Nd Baron De The Berkeley and her mother was [Baroness Berkeley Eve La Zouche [Baroness Berkeley.  Her paternal grandparents were [Baron Berkeley] Thomas "The Wise" The [Baron Berkeley]/Berkeley and [Baroness Berkel Joan De Ferrers [Baroness Berkel; her maternal grandparents were Eudo (Eon) La Zouche and Millicent De Cantilupe. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Thomas IV "The Rich" 3Rd Baron De, Maurice III De, John, Peter, Eudo (Ivo), Milicent (Ela) De and Isabel De.  She was the third oldest of the nine children.  She died on March 31st, 1368 in Eshott, Northumberland, England.
