General Notes

On 4 May 1821 at Bourbon Co., Kentucky, William L. Shields and wife Mary
to President and Directors of the Bank of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Lot in the town of Paris on Main St. known by it's number 14. Beginning
on Mulberry St. at a corner to George Snyders lot 107 ft. 3" from Main
Street and running with the Northern margin of Mulberry St. 62 ft. 3"
thence at right angle 66 ft. to William Kelley's lot thence with Kelley's
lot 62 ft. 3" to a corner of George Snyder's, thence with his line 66 ft.
to the beginning, including the house in which the said Shields now
resides, which lands the party of the first part declares to be in
mortgage for the payment of $350.00 and all interest that may accrue at
the rate of 6% annum
On 22 October 1821 at Bourbon Co., Kentucky, William L. Shields Jr. and
his wife Mary sold to John Aker and his wife Polly, the Lot of land
situated on Main St. in the Town of Paris known by it's number 63.
Containing in front on Main St. 66 ft. and extending back at right angles
214 1/2 ft. to Pleasant St. Which lot was conveyed to the said Shields by
Joseph Calloway.
In 1830, William was a resident of Monroe Co., Indiana, at the time of
the Census with 1 male under 5, 1 male 20-30, 1 female under 5 and 1
female 2-30 years of age living in household.
In 1840, William was a resident of Monroe Co., Indiana, at the time of
the Census with 1 male under 5, 1 male 5-10, 1 male 30-40, 1 female under
5 and 1 female 20-30 living in the household.
