Robert Shields 
Robert was born on January 16th, 1787 in Sevier Co., Tennessee. Robert's father was David Shields and his mother was Susan Edwards. His paternal grandparents were Robert Shields and Nancy Stockton. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Jacob Edwards, David, William, Jane and Phoebe. He had a half-brother named Joseph. He died at the age of 82 on October 10th, 1869 in Canton, Illinois.-
