James Elbert Hurst

James Elbert was born on July 26th, 1843.  James Elbert's father was Emmons Hurst and his mother was Nancy Jane Hilligoss.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 80 on August 6th, 1923 in Rush Co., Indiana.

‌James Elbert and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on January 14th, 1869 in Shelby County, Indiana.  They had five sons and four daughters, named Alonzo, Charley, Emmons, George, Winfred, Alba, Anna, Della and Pluma.
