Bennett Lloyd Ferguson 
Bennett Lloyd was born on December 10th, 1911 in Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana. Bennett Lloyd's father was Bennett "Ben" Ferguson and his mother was Golda J. Hazel. His paternal grandfather was William Fletcher Ferguson; his maternal grandparents were William Paris Hazel and Nancy Jane Shields. He had four brothers and a sister, named Fletcher, Paris Austin, Lloyd, William Ralph 'Jim' and Hazel. He died at the age of 78 on January 24th, 1990 in Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana. He was buried in Valhalla Cemetery, Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana.General Notes
Lloyd (my grandfather) was the most wonderful, generous, hard-working man
I have ever known. He was a cement mason/finisher pretty much all his
life. He had a gold card for being a member of the union for 50 years.
(I have it now.) I also have his wedding ring and other little items. I
absolutely worshipped him! As I may have said before, I don't know where
I would be in life if it weren't for him.
I will tell you one story which is an example of the kind of person he
was. When I was a child I was sick quite often until after I had my
tonsils out at 8. One time when I was particularly sick and had gone to
the doctor, I had seen a stuffed monkey in the window of a toy store on
the way home from the doctor. He called the owner of that store and had
him go down at night and get that monkey for me. He was the one who
played marbles and badminton and checkers and anything else I wanted to
play, as I was growing up. I can't say enough wonderful things about him.
