Gertrude Louise was born on August 29th, 1925 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Gertrude Louise's father was Frank Carl Angrick and her mother was Mary Felan James. Her paternal grandparents were Frank (Franz) Angrick and Rosa Lindenblatt; her maternal grandparents were Alonzo James and Louisa Williams. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Raymond Robert, Julius Alonzo, Roy Edward, Lola Evelyn, Catherine (Kate) Marie and Agnes Lucille. She was the second youngest of the seven children.-
