Charls M. was born about 1874 in WV. Charls M.'s father was Madison W. Hix and his mother was Eliza Jane Hall. His paternal grandfather was George Hix. He had three brothers and two sisters, named James G., Dewit, George B., L. Esther and Caroline. He was the third oldest of the six children.-
