Arthur Simon Guthu 
Arthur Simon was born on January 14th, 1884 in Iola,Wisconsin. Arthur Simon's father was Simon Peder Guthu and his mother was Hellen Bennett. His paternal grandparents were Peder Torstensen and Ronnaug (Ronnow) Olesdatter; his maternal grandparents were Bennett and Bennett. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named Albert, Clarence Elmer, Charlie, Oscar Palmer, Benjamin Hale, Lawrence Sylvester, Willie Rice, Ella Adele, Nettie Adel, Jesse Parden, Pearley May, Polly Mae and Helen Pearl. He was the seventh youngest of the fourteen children. He died due to Stroke at the age of 86 on September 2nd, 1970 in Neenah,Winnebago,Wisconsin. He was buried on September 4th, 1970 in Greenlawn Memorial Park,Neenah,Wisconsin.General Notes
According to his daughter, June Steinbarth, he "always said he had no middle name." Check birth certificate.
Died from a stroke. According to June, "He was lying down, when he realized it was supper time. He jumped up quickly, and had a stroke. Never recovered from it."
According to Sylvia (Guthu) Schulz, "Both our grandparents, Simon and Helen Guthu, spent their last week or months at Aunt Mary and Uncle Arthur's house. They took care of them."
