Commodorer Perry Ellis 
Commodorer Perry was born on March 4th, 1854 in Wyoming,,Il. Commodorer Perry's father was Levi W Ellis and his mother was Ann Johnson. His paternal grandfather was George Ellis; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Johnson and Jane Largent. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Jefferson, William Henry Harrison, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Levi T, Jasper Newton, Mary Jane, Ann Virginia and Elizabeth Ann. He was the youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 70 on March 16th, 1924 in Clay Center,KS.General Notes

Family.
Commodore P. Ellis was born at Wyoming, Ill., Mar. 4, 1854, and died at Clay Center, Kan., at the home of his niece, Mrs. Frank Keith, on the sixteenth day of March, 1924, at the age of seventy years and twelve days. Mr. Ellis came to Kansas with his parents, Levi W. Ellis and Ann Johnson Ellis, in 1869, settling in Riley Co. where he spent his youth, Clay Center having been his home for the last 25 years. He had five brothers in the Civil War and was himself a Spanish war veteran. He leaves a brother, Frank Ellis, in Ill., his sister-in-law, Mrs. T. J. Ellis, and also a nephew and nieces, Basil Ellis and Mrs. T. S. Huddleston and Mrs. Frank Kieth. ------
