Cornelius COMPTON 
Cornelius was born about 1675 in of,Monmouth,Co,NJ. Cornelius' father was William COMPTON and his mother was Mary Browne. His paternal grandfather was William COMPTON i; his maternal grandparents were John Brown and Mary Burwell. He had three brothers and a sister, named Richard, Jacob, Manessah and Judith. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died on January 14th, 1758 in will probate,Monmouth,Co,NJ. He was buried in comptonology pg,179,2,3,37, page 10 also.General Notes
William was constable 1667 and paid quit rent 1679-1695- ear mark a half penny uner the left ear.
Had land near Smith's shoal 1680 and land grant 280 acres 8 may 1679.
