James H was born on April 23rd, 1809 in Kan,Va. James H's father was Isaac BARKER and his mother was Spicy SCOTT. His paternal grandparents were James BARKER and Mary SMITH. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Joseph Henley, John R, Anderson William, Isaac, Jacob, Daniel, Elizabeth (Eliza), Sarah, Nancy, Spicy, Mary and Susan. He was the third oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 79 on August 26th, 1888.-
