David Shafer 
David was born in September 1830 in Walton,West Virginia. David's father was John Shaver and his mother was Mary Cox. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Shaver and Ann Hall. He was an only child. He died after April 1910 in Roane County,West Virginia.
David and Naomi were married in a religious ceremony in 1848 in West Virginia. They had a son named Sheldon Peter.

Sheldon Peter was born in April 1870 in Walton,West Virginia. He died at the age of 68 in 1938 in West Virginia. He was buried in Lowry Cemetery,Roan County,West Virginia.
