Joris Jansen Rapalje 
Joris Jansen was born on August 24th, 1572 in Leyden,Holland. Joris Jansen's father was Victor Honorius Jannsen and his mother was Breckte Rapalje. His paternal grandfather was Victor Anton Jannsen; his maternal grandparents were Gaspard Colet de Rapalje and ? Janssen. He was an only child. He died at the age of 93 in 1665 in Wallabout,Long Island,New York.
Joris Jansen and Catalyntie Jeronimus were married in a religious ceremony on January 21st, 1623 in Walloon Church,Amsterdam,Netherlands. They had four daughters named Annetje, Jannetje Jorisz, Sarah Jorise and Marritje Jorise.
