Eleanor was born in 1311 in Grimond Castle,Monmouth,Wales.  Eleanor's father was Henry Plantagenet Earl Lancaster and her mother was Maud de Chaworth.  Her paternal grandparents were Edmund Plantagenet Earl Leicester and Blanche of Artois; her maternal grandparents were Patrick Chaworth Sir and Isabella Beauchamp. She had a brother and five sisters, named Henry Grosmet, Blanch, Isabel, Joan, Mary and Maud.  She died in Arundel Castle,Sussex,England.
