Edmund "Ironside" 
Edmund was born in 0989 in KING OF ENGLAND (1016) (W1-20).1 Edmund's father was II Aethelred and his mother was Emma. His paternal grandparents were Edgar "The Peaceful" and Elfrida Ordgar. He had a brother named Edmund. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 27 on November 30th, 1016.1 General Notes
When Athelstan died without immediate successors, his half brother Edmund successfully suppressed rebellions by the Mercian Danes. Edmund I was murdered at a feast in his own hall, at the age of 25 in 946, after only seven years on the throne, and his brother Edred succeeded him.
