William Winstead 
William was born in 1796 in , Nash, North Carolina. William's father was Ezekiel Winstead and his mother was Mourning Watkins. His paternal grandparents were Francis Winstead and Catherine; his maternal grandfather was Henry Watkins. He had six brothers and a sister, named Francis, David, John, Henry, Joel, Samuel and Winstead. He died at the age of 83 in February 1879 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.-
