Martha Whitaker

Martha was born about 1742 in Of, Halifax, NC.  Martha's father was John Whitaker and her mother was Martha Gough.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Whitaker and Elizabeth Pyland; her maternal grandparents were William Gough and Alice Thacker. She had seven brothers named Robert, Richard, James, John, Gough, Dudley and William.  She was the youngest of the eight children.
