Byer B. was born in 1850 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Byer B.'s father was George Buckellew Wexler and her mother was Sarah Buchellew. Her paternal grandparents were Jonathan Wexler and Mary Birdwell. She had two brothers and two sisters, named James Monroe, Joseph R., Martha Jane and Polly B.. She was the second oldest of the five children. She had two half-sisters named Mary Bacon and Martha E.. She died at the age of 46 in 1896.-
