John West 
John was born in 1799 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. John's father was James West and his mother was Nancy Grigsby. His maternal grandparents were John Grigsby and Winnifred Breeding. He had six brothers and five sisters, named William, Bayless, Samuel, Gideon, Calvin, James, Elizabeth, Winney, Louisiana, Nancy and Mary Or Polly.
