John Venable 
John was born in 1843 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee. John's father was Daniel Venable and his mother was Mary Lawson. His maternal grandparents were Martin Lawson and Nancy. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named William, George, James, Joseph, Andrew, Zora, Nancy, Catherine, Priscilla, Mary, Charity, Martha and Mary Margaret. He was the second oldest of the fourteen children.
