George Washington Stroup 
George Washington was born in 1909 in Of, Greene, Tennessee. George Washington's father was William Stroup and his mother was Mary Jane Thompson. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Jackson Stroup and Elizabeth Myers. He had ten brothers and six sisters, named John, Samuel Alexander, McFirlon, Eli, Roy, Lee Hulbert, Arrie Ruben, Fitzbaugh Lee, Frank B., William Henry, Agnes Essie, Bessie Mae, Clora Dortha, Elisa Ann, Laura Naomi and Margaret Elizabeth. He died at the age of 19 in 1928.-
