Andrew was born in 1858 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee. Andrew's father was Claiborne Stacy and his mother was Dolly Morelock. His maternal grandparents were Samuel Morelock and Elizabeth Stacy. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, James, William H., George W., John H., Thomas J., Sarah, Ann P. and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the ten children.-
