Sarah was born in 1807 in North Carolina. Sarah's father was Willis Spears. Her paternal grandparents were Kindred Spears and Elizabeth Jones. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Kindred, Willis, Caroline and Mary E.. She was the third oldest of the five children. Sarah is no longer alive.-
