Jesse Spears 
Jesse was born on August 23rd, 1789 in , Halifax, North Carolina. Jesse's father was Samuel Spears and his mother was Sarah Spears. His paternal grandmother was Rosina Spears; his maternal grandparents were Kindred Spears and Elizabeth Jones. He had three brothers and three sisters, named David, Lazarus, William, Phereba, Nancy Ann and Lucy. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender, named John, William, Spears, Matilda, Spears, Matilda and Spears. He died at the age of 84 on November 30th, 1873 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.-
