Joan's father was Philip Somerville Lord and her mother was Margaret Pipe. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Somerville Lord Whichnor Of Stafford and Isabel De Merley; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Pipe and Johanna Jarpenville. She was an only child. She died on October 8th, 1376.
