Mary Sims 
Mary was born in 1724 in Charles County, Maryland. Mary's father was John Semmes and her mother was Mary Higdon. Her paternal grandparents were Marmaduke Semmes and Fortune Watson; her maternal grandparents were John Higdon and Millicent. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Claiborne, Anne and Rebecca. She was the youngest of the five children.
