Dewey Manila was born on August 31st, 1898 in Tennessee. Dewey Manila's father was Nathan William Shipley and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Wexler. Her paternal grandparents were George Washington Shipley and Margaret Clonniger Fitzgerald; her maternal grandparents were James Monroe Wexler and Thilitha Jones. She had a brother named Nathan William. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 89 on March 4th, 1988.-
