Benjamin Jarriott Shipley 
Benjamin Jarriott was born in 1839 in Tennessee. Benjamin Jarriott's father was Eli Wilson Shipley and his mother was Mahala Ann Felts. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Shipley and Catherine Wells; his maternal grandfather was Jarriott Felts. He had three brothers and four sisters, named William Milburn, Gaines Anderson Matheney, Joel Felts, Louisa Catherine, Martha Ann, Rachel Savada and Susan Margaret. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 23 in 1862 in Kentucky.-
