William Shanks 
William was born in 1811 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. William's father was Christian Shanks and his mother was Margaret Pearson. He had five brothers and a sister, named Michael, George, Christian, Henry, John and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 50 in 1861 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.
