Michael Pruitt 
Michael was born in 1751 in , Campbell, Virginia. Michael's father was Michael Pruitt and his mother was Elizabeth Simkins. His maternal grandparents were John Simkins and Elizabeth French. He had six brothers and three sisters, named James, Elisha, Byrd, Joseph, Robert, Joshua, Rachel, Judith and Elizabeth. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 71 in 1822 in , Bedford, Tennessee.-
