John Porter 
John was born about 1750 in , Guilford, North Carolina. John's father was Hugh Porter and his mother was Violet Mackey. He had five brothers and a sister, named Hugh, Andrew, James, Henry, Lancelot and Mary. He was the youngest of the seven children.
