Mary was born about 1708 in Isle Of Wight, Virginia. Mary's father was John Person Jr. and her mother was Mary Partridge. Her paternal grandparents were John Person and Frances Cooke; her maternal grandfather was Thomas Partridge. She had eight brothers and a sister, named John, Thomas, Francis, Joseph, William, Benjamin, Samuel, Jacob and Elizabeth.-
