John Parvin 
John was born in 1870 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. John's father was George Washington Parvin and his mother was Elmira A. Woods. His paternal grandparents were Augustus Parvin and Matilda Woods. He had five sisters named Elizabeth M., Belle, Mary, Martha and Malinda. He was the second oldest of the six children.
