Peter's father was George Oliver and his mother was Jemima Reagan. His paternal grandparents were John Oliver and Margaret; his maternal grandparents were John Riggin and Mary Townsend. He had six brothers named James, George, Charles, Elijah, John and William. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Isaac, Abraham, Jesse and Sarah. He died about 1853 in Rockingham Co., NC.-
