William Long

William was born on May 3rd, 1804 in Tennessee.  William's father was John Long and his mother was Tabitha Woods.  His maternal grandfather was Joseph Woods. He had three brothers and a sister, named Joseph Kennedy, Isaac David, James and Ann.  He was the third oldest of the five children. He had six half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas Alexander, George Maxwell, Moses, Spencer Ball, Wesley Burton, Andrew Jackson and Rebecca Jane.  He died at the age of 52 on November 28th, 1856 in Indiana.
