Robert Jossey 
Robert was born in 1765 in Halifax County, N. C.. Robert's father was James Jossey and his mother was Margaret Or Peggy Whitaker. His maternal grandparents were John Whitaker and Olive Taylor. He had two brothers and four sisters, named James, John, Olive Taylor, Margaret Or Peggy, Mary and Sarah. He died at the age of 57 in May 1822.-
