Harman Hitt 
Harman was born in 1721 in Germanna, Fauquier, Virginia. Harman's father was Peter Hitt and his mother was Elizabeth Otterbach. His paternal grandfather was Jacob Heite; his maternal grandparents were Hermann Otterbach and Otterbach. He had four brothers and a sister, named John, Joseph, Henry, Peter and Mary Ann. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 99 in 1820 in , Fauquier, Virginia.-
