Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Fitz William and Elizabeth Aske; her maternal grandparents were John Dymoke and Margaret Ludlowe. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, John, Robert, Richard, William, Eleanor, Elizabeth, Joan, Margaret and Beatrice. She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.-
